Scott D’Amore Reveals TNA Wrestling Revival Strategy and New Venture Plans
Scott D’Amore recently discussed his experience in reviving TNA Wrestling during a challenging period. Initially brought in for a brief consulting assignment in 2017, D’Amore’s role unexpectedly expanded, leading to a more significant involvement in the company. He described TNA’s dire situation, noting that the promotion hadn’t sold tickets to shows in years and had become a secondary free wrestling show in Orlando, competing with NXT.
To turn things around, D’Amore and his team adopted a strategy of using a smaller roster and focusing on producing the best possible wrestling show. Despite the difficulties, they persevered and gradually improved the promotion’s standing. Now, D’Amore is preparing to launch his new wrestling venture, Maple Leaf Pro, with its first pay-per-view event, Forged in Excellence, scheduled for October 19 and 20.
