Mick Foley Addresses Vince McMahon Allegations, Expresses Gratitude for Career Opportunities
A lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has caused a divide in opinions within the wrestling community. While many are appalled by the alleged actions of McMahon, others are finding it difficult to reconcile these accusations with the positive impact he had on their careers.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently shared his thoughts on the situation during a Q&A session at the Northern Ireland Comic-Con. Foley acknowledged that he still feels gratitude towards McMahon for the opportunities he was given in his career. He expressed a desire to thank McMahon for taking a chance on him, despite their relationship changing after Foley’s departure to TNA. Foley also noted that everyone has both good and bad traits, suggesting that McMahon’s negative aspects may have overshadowed his positive ones in recent times.
Regarding the allegations in the lawsuit, Foley maintains a stance of “innocent until proven guilty.” He stated that he and many others are not allowing the current situation to tarnish their memories of McMahon’s contributions to the wrestling industry. Foley emphasized that he chooses to appreciate McMahon’s positive impact until more information about the allegations comes to light.
