WWE’s Raw Undergoes Production Overhaul: Announcers Now Integrated into Live Experience

WWE has undergone significant changes since Paul Levesque (Triple H) took over as Chief Content Officer two years ago. Former wrestling star Tommy Dreamer recently highlighted a notable difference in the production of “Raw,” particularly regarding the role of announcers.

During a recent episode of “Raw,” Dreamer observed that the announcers were more integrated into the live experience. Instead of simply sitting at a desk, they were engaging with the crowd and providing commentary that made viewers feel like part of the action. This new approach allows the audience at home to hear not only the announcers but also the crowd’s reactions, creating a more immersive experience.

Dreamer emphasized that this change in production style gives “Raw” a different feel, making it more exciting and event-like. He noted that it’s challenging to achieve this effect but believes it successfully makes viewers feel like they’re part of the live show. This new approach represents a significant shift from the traditional WWE broadcast style and appears to be part of the ongoing evolution of the product under Levesque’s leadership.
