Former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico Colon to debut in NWA, while Carlito returns to WWE
Former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico Colon are set to make their debut in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) at the upcoming “NWA Powerrr” tapings on October 5 and 6 in Tampa, Florida. The cousins, who previously wrestled for WWE from 2012 to 2020, have been working in Puerto Rico’s World Wrestling Council (WWC) since leaving WWE during the COVID-19 pandemic. NWA’s national promoter, Bryan Idol, expressed excitement about the addition of these experienced wrestlers to the organization’s tag team division.
Meanwhile, Primo’s brother and Epico’s cousin, Carlito, has recently returned to WWE. His surprise appearance at the Backlash pay-per-view event in Puerto Rico was met with such enthusiasm that he signed a new contract with the company. Carlito has since been involved with various factions, including The LWO and The Judgment Day. According to Epico, WWE had been interested in bringing Carlito back for several years before his recent return.
