WWE Secures Megan Thee Stallion for SmackDown Theme, AEW’s Mercedes Mone Reveals Missed Collaboration
WWE SmackDown has introduced a new theme song by Megan Thee Stallion as part of its move to USA Network. Interestingly, AEW star Mercedes Mone had previously hinted at a potential collaboration with the rapper. Mone has now clarified that she and Stallion had indeed discussed working together after meeting at an anime awards event in Japan earlier this year.
Mone believes that her public mention of the potential collaboration may have led to WWE securing a deal with Stallion instead. While expressing some regret about revealing the information prematurely, Mone maintains a positive outlook. She sees the situation as a sign that she and AEW are on the right track and is happy for Stallion’s opportunity to reach a wider wrestling audience. Mone also teased that she and AEW have more projects in the works, which will be revealed in due time.
