WWE Revives “Saturday Night’s Main Event” for December 14 Broadcast on NBC and Peacock
WWE is bringing back its iconic show “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on December 14, 2023. The special will air at 8 p.m. ET simultaneously on NBC and Peacock. The event will take place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York, with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday and pre-sale starting tomorrow. This revival is part of WWE’s new media rights deal with NBCUniversal, which also includes moving “WWE SmackDown” back to the USA Network.
The show has a rich history, first airing in 1985 and running until 1992. It often featured major wrestling moments and frequently starred Hulk Hogan in the main event. After its initial run, there have been several revivals, including televised specials from 2006 to 2008 and non-televised events in 2022. This latest incarnation will air quarterly, marking a significant return to broadcast television for the popular wrestling program.
