WWE Reportedly Schedules LA Knight vs. Logan Paul for SummerSlam
The highly anticipated SummerSlam event is set to take place on August 3 at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, as WWE continues to ride the wave of successful Premium Live Events (PLEs). The company’s live event touring business has been thriving, with several sold-out shows in recent months, and this trend is expected to continue.
In the lead-up to SummerSlam, WWE has scheduled another major event, Money in the Bank, on July 6th. The confirmed matches for SummerSlam include World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest defending his title against Seth Rollins, along with two Money in the Bank ladder matches. Speculation has been rife about the potential clash between LA Knight and United States Champion Logan Paul, following their ongoing feud. Last week, Knight made headlines by “invading” Paul’s home in Puerto Rico and entering his swimming pool, escalating tensions between the two superstars. In response, WWE has announced that Knight and Paul will face off on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. According to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, their match is “earmarked” for SummerSlam, with an official announcement likely to come after the Money in the Bank event.
