WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi mourns loss of uncles Sika and Afa Anoa’i, vows to continue family legacy

The Anoa’i/Fatu wrestling family, known for their success in the WWE, has recently faced significant losses. Within a few months, brothers and WWE Hall of Famers Sika and Afa Anoa’i passed away at 79 and 80 years old, respectively. Their nephew, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, has been particularly affected by these losses.

In a recent interview, Rikishi expressed his deep sorrow, describing the back-to-back losses as a “big blow” to the family. He shared that the news of Afa’s death came shortly after a family reunion, leaving him feeling numb both physically and mentally. Rikishi acknowledged the important role his uncles played in establishing their wrestling dynasty and providing opportunities for the family.

Despite the difficult time, Rikishi remains committed to continuing the family’s legacy in professional wrestling. He emphasized the importance of carrying on their responsibilities with respect and dignity, supporting each other, and paving the way for younger family members who may want to enter the industry.
