WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray questions Hell in a Cell stipulation for CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are set to face off in a Hell in a Cell match on October 5, marking their third and most intense confrontation yet. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has expressed concerns about this stipulation for their personal feud. On “Busted Open Radio,” he suggested that an “I Quit” match might be more suitable for the storyline’s intense nature.

Bully Ray explained that Hell in a Cell matches come with high expectations and are challenging to execute effectively. He worries that the structure might overshadow the personal conflict between Punk and McIntyre. The former TNA World Champion hopes the wrestlers will keep the match focused on their rivalry without resorting to extreme weapons. While acknowledging the historical significance of Hell in a Cell’s October anniversary, Bully Ray maintains that an “I Quit” match would better serve the story and allow for a more intimate and intense showdown between the two former WWE Champions.
