Wrestling icon Sid Vicious dies at 63, remembered as kind-hearted by fellow wrestlers
Sid Vicious, a legendary figure in professional wrestling, has passed away at 63 after battling cancer. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi paid tribute to Vicious on his podcast, describing him as an icon who helped pave the way for newer generations in the wrestling industry.
Rikishi fondly remembered Vicious as a nice person, particularly to the Samoan wrestling community. He also reflected on their first meeting in WCW, praising Vicious’s in-ring performance. Rikishi noted that Vicious excelled where many larger wrestlers struggled, avoiding stiffness and demonstrating good ring psychology. The Hall of Famer went on to rank Vicious as one of the top 15 big men in wrestling history, highlighting his status as a special attraction in the industry.
