Updated Policy Adopted by AEW Regarding Appearances by Mexican Wrestlers
AEW has updated its policy regarding Mexican wrestlers appearing on its shows, primarily in relation to the upcoming Forbidden Door event. The new policy allows Mexican-born wrestlers who have not recently worked for AAA to appear on shows featuring CMLL talent. This includes wrestlers like Rey Fenix, but excludes those like Komander and El Hijo del Vikingo, who currently hold AAA titles. The updated policy is subject to negotiations between AEW, CMLL, and New Japan.
