Tony Schiavone Unaware of TNA-WWE Collaboration, Unconcerned with WWE’s Activities
In a recent episode of his podcast “What Happened When,” All Elite Wrestling (AEW) commentator Tony Schiavone addressed various professional wrestling topics, including the collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT. Schiavone stated that he was unaware of this development, saying, “I’m not familiar with what’s going on. You’re telling me news I haven’t heard.”
Schiavone also discussed his lack of attention to WWE, explaining, “Because what they do does not impact me at all.” He acknowledged the argument that there is competition for viewership but dismissed the notion that it resembles the wrestling landscape of the 1990s. He cited WWE’s move to streaming services as evidence of this shift, stating, “They’re going on Netflix. They’re going on a streaming service, okay. A streaming service. So I don’t know what they’re doing.” Schiavone concluded by emphasizing the importance of focusing on AEW’s own product rather than being distracted by WWE’s activities.
