The Undertaker Open to Wrestling Gunther Despite Aversion to Chops
Mark Calaway, known as The Undertaker, retired from wrestling in 2020. Since then, Walter Hahn, known as Gunther, has become a top WWE star, winning the Intercontinental Championship and the 2024 King of the Ring tournament.
Gunther is known for his powerful chops. In a recent interview, Calaway discussed his dislike of chops in wrestling, recalling limiting Ric Flair’s use of them. However, he allowed Shawn Michaels to use chops more freely.
Calaway stated he prefers to be hit solidly in a safe spot rather than have a punch look weak. He also expressed a desire to work with Gunther and would willingly endure his chops for the sake of a good match.
While Calaway has no current plans to return from retirement, a match between him and Gunther would have been highly anticipated.
