Sheamus Signs Multi-Year WWE Contract, Sets Sights on Intercontinental Championship and WrestleMania Main Event
Sheamus, the former WWE Champion, has recently re-signed with WWE on a multi-year deal. This comes after his return from an injury in April 2024, which had delayed contract negotiations. The news of his re-signing was first reported by Fightful Select and later confirmed by The Pat McAfee Show.
Despite being 46 years old, Sheamus still has ambitious goals in WWE. He aims to capture the Intercontinental Championship, the only major title he hasn’t won yet, and hopes to main event WrestleMania. Currently, Sheamus is involved in a feud with his former stablemate Pete Dunne, suffering a recent defeat on WWE Raw due to Dunne’s use of a cricket bat while the referee was distracted.
While Sheamus’ current storyline may not immediately lead to his desired championship opportunities or WrestleMania main event, his new multi-year contract provides ample time to pursue these goals. The “Celtic Warrior” seems determined to make his mark in WWE’s history books before hanging up his boots.
