Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Clash Ahead of Bad Blood Tag Team Match, Tensions Rise on SmackDown
In a recent episode of WWE SmackDown, tensions escalated between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes ahead of their upcoming tag team match at Bad Blood. The segment, filmed at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd stadium, highlighted the complex relationship between the two wrestlers. Both men have connections to the stadium, with Reigns recalling his football career there and Rhodes emphasizing his family’s deep roots in Georgia’s wrestling scene.
The conversation quickly turned to their upcoming match against Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline. Reigns pointed out that Rhodes has “everything” to lose, while the Bloodline members have “nothing” at stake. When Rhodes asked Reigns to promise that their alliance would end after Bad Blood, Reigns agreed reluctantly but made it clear he wasn’t done with Rhodes. Reigns expressed his desire to reclaim the WWE Universal Championship, to which Rhodes firmly stated it wasn’t Reigns’ to take.
Despite forming an unlikely tag team for the Bad Blood event, it’s evident that the rivalry between Reigns and Rhodes is far from over. Even after they face Sikoa and Fatu, it appears Rhodes will have to contend with a vengeful Reigns, who sees him as an obstacle in his path to reclaiming his former glory.
