Jey and Jimmy Uso, now renowned WWE superstars, initially had a different career path in mind according to their father, Rikishi. Despite their current success as eight-time WWE Tag Team Champions and potential Hall of Famers, Rikishi revealed that he had envisioned his sons playing in the NFL rather than following in the family’s wrestling footsteps.

In a recent interview, Rikishi explained that he felt the Samoan Dynasty was already well-represented in professional wrestling, with family members like Afa, Sika, High Chief Peter Maivia, The Rock, and Yokozuna having made their mark. However, when Jey and Jimmy decided to pursue wrestling, Rikishi supported their choice while making it clear that they would receive no special treatment. He emphasized that success in the wrestling business requires hard work, patience, and dedication.
