Ricochet Impresses in AEW, Set for GLEAT Debut, Eyes NJPW Return and G1 Climax Participation
Ricochet, a former WWE superstar, has made a strong start in AEW, impressing fans with victories over Kyle Fletcher and Sammy Guevara. His performances have caught the attention of AEW International Champion Will Ospreay. Taking advantage of AEW’s policy allowing wrestlers to work for other promotions, Ricochet is set to debut for GLEAT in Osaka, Japan on October 6.
In a recent interview on the “Babyfaces” podcast, Ricochet expressed interest in returning to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), citing AEW’s strong relationship with the Japanese promotion. He aims to participate in the prestigious G1 Climax tournament, having already won the Best of the Super Juniors in 2014. Ricochet’s previous NJPW accomplishments include multiple reigns as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team and NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champion between 2016 and 2017, partnering with notable wrestlers such as Matt Sydal, Satoshi Kojima, and current NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi.
