Ospreay and Fletcher triumph in AEW’s chaotic Casino Gauntlet Match, secure Tag Team title shot
In an action-packed Casino Gauntlet Match on AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher emerged victorious, earning a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The match, which featured nine teams in total, was the first of its kind and followed sudden-death rules in a tornado-tag style format. Starting with Ospreay and Fletcher against FTR, teams entered the fray at timed intervals, creating a chaotic and unpredictable environment.
As the match progressed, notable teams like The Righteous, The Undisputed Kingdom, The Acclaimed, MxM, Top Flight, The Outrunners, and The Grizzled Young Veterans joined the battle. The ring became increasingly crowded, with up to 14 competitors simultaneously involved at one point. The action spilled outside the ring and even onto the entrance ramp, with teams executing high-flying moves and powerful takedowns.
The climax of the match saw Dante Martin of Top Flight nearly pin Fletcher, but Fletcher managed to counter. In the end, Fletcher hit a decisive move on Martin, while Ospreay prevented Darius Martin from interfering. This teamwork allowed Fletcher to secure the pin and win the match, setting up a highly anticipated championship bout against the Young Bucks at AEW Grand Slam.
