AEW’s new media deal with Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly worth $170 million annually, falls short of expectations
Reports suggest that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has reached a new media rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, valued at approximately $170 million per year. The deal is said to span three years, with an option for a fourth year extension. This figure falls significantly short of the billion-dollar offers that AEW President Tony Khan had previously mentioned.
Former WCW star Konnan expressed skepticism about the reported deal, suggesting that the actual amount might be even lower, around $120 million, with Khan possibly contributing his own funds to maintain appearances. Additionally, there are rumors that AEW may no longer be exclusive to Warner Bros. Discovery, as discussions about a potential new show called “Shockwave” with Fox have been reported. However, these claims remain unconfirmed by official sources.
The true value of AEW’s media rights and the company’s future broadcast arrangements are still uncertain. As negotiations continue and new partnerships potentially emerge, the wrestling promotion’s financial standing and media presence may evolve further.
