Nigel McGuinness Returns to Wrestling at AEW All In, Sparks Excitement for Potential Bryan Danielson Match
Nigel McGuinness made a surprise comeback to the wrestling ring during AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. This return has caused excitement, with WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry strongly advocating for McGuinness to continue wrestling in AEW. There’s particular interest in a potential match between McGuinness and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson, given their long-standing rivalry from their days in Ring of Honor.
McGuinness had been away from in-ring action since 2011 due to a Hepatitis B diagnosis. In the intervening years, he worked as a commentator for various wrestling promotions before joining AEW last year. Mark Henry suggested that McGuinness could use his antagonistic relationship with Danielson to benefit Christian Cage, the current number one contender for the world title. This unexpected return has opened up intriguing possibilities for future storylines in AEW.
