McGuinness and Danielson have a notable history dating back to their time in Ring of Honor during the late 2000s. They faced each other in significant matches, including a title unification bout at ROH Unified in 2006 and a world championship match at Rising Above 2008. At AEW All In, McGuinness had the opportunity to compete alongside Zack Sabre Jr. in the Casino Gauntlet match, giving fans a glimpse of a potential dream matchup between the two.

While McGuinness is open to these matches, some obstacles remain. Adam Copeland is currently sidelined with a leg injury, and Lee Moriarty was not featured at All In.
