Nick Aldis Reveals Preferred Opponents for Possible WrestleMania Return
Nick Aldis, known for his accomplishments in NWA and TNA, transitioned to WWE last year, taking on the position of SmackDown General Manager. Recently, he addressed the speculation surrounding his potential return to the ring and shared his thoughts on potential opponents, particularly at WrestleMania.
In an interview with Gorilla Position, Aldis was asked about his preferred opponents if WrestleMania were to take place in London. He acknowledged that he has considered the possibility of facing top wrestlers such as Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles, but he doesn’t see it as a necessity. Aldis stated, “Yes, but not in a… how do I say this… of course it’s something that I’ve imagined and thought of. It’s not something that I think about in terms of ‘it must happen.’ But, if you’re asking me, I suppose in a perfect world, Cody, Roman, Randy, AJ any of those would be the best guys.” He expressed that having the opportunity to face these opponents would be a true honor and something he would love to do. However, he clarified that he doesn’t actively plan or angle for it, but if the opportunity presented itself, he would be ready and willing to deliver.
Earlier this year, Aldis suffered a biceps injury, but he has since made a full recovery. The question of whether he will ultimately return to the ring, especially if WrestleMania is held in London, remains to be seen.
