MVP denies calling Triple H racist, clarifies stance on diverse talent booking in WWE
Former WWE star MVP has addressed rumors about his alleged comments regarding Triple H’s booking of diverse talent. During a recent virtual signing event, MVP firmly denied ever calling Triple H racist, challenging anyone to provide evidence of such a claim. He explained that he had agreed with a fan’s observation about Triple H’s booking of black talent on social media, but insisted he never used the word “racist” himself.
MVP acknowledged having opinions on how Triple H books “talent of color” but stated he would discuss this in more detail on his upcoming podcast. He emphasized that he doesn’t know Triple H’s motivations and can’t speak to whether he is racist or not. The former United States Champion’s comments come in the wake of his departure from WWE, where he was part of the now-disbanded stable The Hurt Business alongside Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander.
