Mick Foley abandons 60th birthday death match plans due to health concerns, reveals secret meeting with MJF
WWE legend Mick Foley recently sparked excitement among wrestling fans by teasing a final death match for his 60th birthday. However, he had to abandon the idea due to his body being in worse condition than anticipated. In a recent interview, Foley shared that he was pleasantly surprised by the interest his potential return generated, with many wrestlers expressing interest in being his opponent.
Foley revealed that he had a secret meeting with former AEW World Champion MJF, who presented an intriguing storyline for a potential match. Unfortunately, Foley realized the comeback wasn’t feasible after suffering a concussion from minimal physical activity. He explained that his main goal was to get back in shape rather than actually wrestling, and he’s content with his weight loss progress so far.
The last time Foley competed in a wrestling match was at the 2012 Royal Rumble. Since then, he has made sporadic appearances on WWE television, including a stint as the Raw General Manager. Foley continues to be active in the wrestling community through convention appearances and indie shows.
