Mark Henry Advises Son on Path to Pro Wrestling Success
In a recent interview with Fightful, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry revealed his advice for his son Jacob, who aspires to be a professional wrestler. Henry emphasizes the importance of global experience before entering the American wrestling scene, saying Jacob “better travel the world first.” This includes wrestling in Japan, Australia, Africa, Mexico, Canada, and more, to “work out all the bugs” and adapt to various wrestling styles.
Henry also praised Jacob’s “elite” understanding of pro wrestling, comparing it to the storytelling aspects of the Bible and classic narratives. He revealed the challenge of explaining the psychology behind wrestling to his son at a young age, emphasizing the importance of longevity in a career that demands sacrifice.
Regarding his own involvement in Jacob’s future matches, Henry stated, “I got about five bumps left in me… Once Jacob gets out of college and he goes into wrestling, I’m gonna have to stand on the apron and somebody’s got to come bump me and he’s gonna beat the shit out of them.”
