Kevin Owens addresses strained relationship with CM Punk amid WWE return rumors

CM Punk’s return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 sparked rumors of backstage tension, particularly with Kevin Owens. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Owens addressed his relationship with Punk, stating they never talk and have no reason to interact unless working together. This tension was evident in a televised backstage segment where Owens laughed in Punk’s face when the latter asked about the location of a locker room.

The strained relationship between Owens and Punk dates back to their time in Ring of Honor (ROH). Owens has previously commented that they “aren’t each other’s type of people” and only exchange basic greetings when in close proximity. Despite their personal differences, both wrestlers are set to compete at the upcoming Bash in Berlin event. Owens will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, while Punk is scheduled to face Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match.
