Jade Cargill reveals pre-debut nerves and rapid rise in WWE following Royal Rumble appearance
Jade Cargill, a former AEW star, made her highly anticipated WWE in-ring debut at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Despite months of build-up through backstage segments and appearances, Cargill admitted in a recent interview that she was uncertain about how fans would receive her. She expressed concerns about potentially being booed, even though fellow wrestler Bianca Belair had tried to reassure her.
Cargill felt comfortable with the physical demands of the Rumble match, citing the presence of experienced wrestlers in the ring. She praised the WWE locker room as an easy place to work, emphasizing that everyone backstage is committed to the company’s success. Since her debut, Cargill has quickly established herself in WWE, winning the Women’s Tag Team titles with Belair and becoming a regular feature on the SmackDown brand. However, the duo recently lost their titles to Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre at WWE Clash at the Castle: Glasgow in June.
