Independent wrestler Ricky Gibson gains fan support after offering to partner with Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown

Gibson explained on “Busted Open Radio” that he was initially invited for extra work at the event. Upon arrival, he noticed Kevin Owens seemingly unsure about his plans for the night. Gibson, leveraging his experience as a tag team wrestler, promptly offered his assistance to Owens. This proactive approach set him apart from other potential partners who had declined Owens’ requests.

The independent wrestler revealed that Owens had approached several other notable figures, including Booker T and Rob Van Dam (RVD), all of whom turned down the opportunity. Gibson’s eagerness to seize the moment, coupled with his tag team experience, made him stand out despite not being chosen for the actual match. His memorable appearance has potentially opened new doors for his wrestling career.
