Former WWE star Kane draws parallels between wrestling and politics as Knox County Mayor

Glenn Jacobs, formerly known as WWE wrestler Kane, now serves as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. In a recent interview, Jacobs shared his perspective on the similarities between professional wrestling and politics. He explained that his experience in WWE prepared him for the political world, as both realms require navigating internal politics and appealing to an audience.

Jacobs emphasized that politics can be as entertaining as wrestling and that winning over voters is similar to engaging a crowd in an arena. He noted that in both fields, one must focus on appealing to the community at large rather than worrying about media perceptions. As a politician, Jacobs faces the challenge of convincing people that he is different from his wrestling persona. Jacobs was first elected as Mayor in 2018 and won his second term in 2022. During his first term, he was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
