Terri Runnels, best known for her role as a manager in WWE and WCW, recently revealed her struggles with in-ring performances during her wrestling career. Despite participating in 28 matches and briefly holding the WWE Hardcore Championship, Runnels expressed strong discomfort with wrestling on the “Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw” show.

Runnels described feeling intense anxiety and nausea when arriving at events, uncertain whether she would be managing or wrestling that night. She would often become physically ill, vomiting before matches due to nervousness. This anxiety persisted even after receiving reassurances from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

While Runnels emphasized her love for the wrestling business and enjoyment of taking bumps as a manager, she firmly stated that wrestling was not her desire. She felt that being put in wrestling matches, especially in revealing attire, was an uncomfortable position that she should not have been placed in. Despite her outward composure on camera, Runnels’ internal struggles highlight the challenges some performers face in the wrestling industry.
