Former NJPW star Giulia debuts in WWE NXT with win, earns praise from Tommy Dreamer

Giulia, the former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, has made her debut in WWE NXT with a victory over Chelsea Green. This win sets the stage for her upcoming championship match against NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in Chicago. The event is particularly significant as it marks NXT’s first appearance on The CW network, moving from its usual WWE Performance Center location.

Tommy Dreamer, a wrestling veteran and host of “Busted Open Radio,” has praised Giulia’s potential. He likened her transition from STARDOM and NJPW to WWE as similar to moving from college football to the professional level, noting the different style and higher caliber of opponents. Dreamer commended Giulia’s performance, particularly her signature hard-hitting style, though he suggested there could be room for improvement in selling moves. Overall, he rated her debut match an “A-” and expressed confidence in her readiness for the bigger WWE stage.
