Ethan Page retains NXT Championship in controversial match against Joe Hendry at No Mercy
In a thrilling NXT Championship match at “WWE NXT” No Mercy, Ethan Page successfully defended his title against TNA star Joe Hendry. The bout was made even more intense by the presence of special guest referee Trick Williams, a former NXT Champion himself. The match was filled with close calls and controversial moments, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
Throughout the contest, both Page and Hendry had several near-falls, with the tension between Page and Williams adding an extra layer of drama. At one point, Hendry believed he had won after pinning Page for a three-count, but Williams noticed Page’s foot under the rope and stopped the count. This led to a heated exchange between Hendry and Williams, allowing Page to take advantage of the situation. After a series of dramatic events, including the involvement of a second referee, Page managed to secure the victory with a low blow followed by his finisher, Ego’s Edge.
The excitement didn’t end with the match, as Pete Dunne made a surprise appearance after Page’s celebration. Dunne attacked Williams at ringside, setting the stage for their upcoming match on the next episode of “WWE NXT” on Tuesday.
