Eric Bischoff criticizes Ricochet’s AEW debut as “wasted opportunity” despite fan excitement
Former WWE star Ricochet made his debut in AEW at the All In: London pay-per-view event, marking a significant move in his wrestling career. While many fans welcomed his arrival, wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff expressed criticism on his podcast, calling it a “wasted opportunity.”
Bischoff believes Ricochet could be a major star in AEW, stating that he’s currently unmatched in talent within the promotion. He suggested that AEW should have made a bigger spectacle of Ricochet’s debut, arguing that the wrestler got lost in the event’s shuffle. Although Bischoff acknowledged that Ricochet’s match was enjoyable, he felt AEW could have capitalized more on the emotional high of the audience, both in attendance and at home.
Despite the criticism, Ricochet appears unfazed. Following the event, he took to social media to personally engage with fans, responding to their comments about his AEW debut.
