Drew McIntyre recently spoke about his triple threat Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39, calling it possibly the best match of his career. The bout, which featured McIntyre, Sheamus, and Gunther, has been highly praised by fans and critics alike. McIntyre highlighted the crowd’s enthusiastic response, noting that they were chanting “This is awesome” less than ten minutes into the match.

The Scottish wrestler also shared how he and Sheamus partially fulfilled their dream of having a singles match at WrestleMania during this triple threat. He explained that when Gunther was temporarily out of the picture, he and Sheamus went back and forth for about ten minutes, creating the feel of a one-on-one encounter. McIntyre expressed satisfaction with the match’s story and overall execution.

At the most recent WrestleMania 40, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win his third World Championship in WWE. However, his reign was short-lived as he quickly lost the title to Damian Priest. This loss has fueled an ongoing feud between McIntyre and CM Punk.
