Drew McIntyre Abruptly Leaves WWE Raw, Deletes Social Media Amidst CM Punk Storyline
Drew McIntyre abruptly exited Monday Night Raw, declaring “I quit” during an in-ring segment and subsequently deleted his social media accounts. The move comes amid ongoing storyline tension with CM Punk and follows reports that McIntyre’s wife has been hospitalized.
During the segment, McIntyre faced a crowd chanting CM Punk’s name before abruptly announcing his departure. WWE officials Triple H and Adam Pearce were unsuccessful in their attempts to reason with him. McIntyre’s Twitter and Instagram accounts have since been deactivated.
The incident adds another layer to the unfolding narrative surrounding CM Punk, who is not expected to return to the ring until SummerSlam. Punk is scheduled to appear on SmackDown this Friday in Chicago.
