DDP Predicts WWE’s SummerSlam to Become Two-Day Event, Foresees More Extended PLEs
WWE Hall of Famer “Diamond” Dallas Page (DDP) predicts major changes for WWE’s Premium Live Events (PLEs) in the near future. During an appearance on “Drinks with Johnny,” DDP suggested that SummerSlam, WWE’s second-biggest event, will become a two-day extravaganza next year, similar to WrestleMania. He also anticipates that other major events like King of the Ring or Royal Rumble might follow suit, leading to four two-day spectacles annually.
DDP emphasized WWE’s global reach, calling it “World Wide Entertainment.” He expressed happiness for Cody Rhodes being at the forefront of WWE’s current success. The former wrestler also touched on his post-retirement career in fitness, mentioning his work helping fellow veterans like Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Buff Bagwell. Additionally, DDP spoke fondly of working with musician Jelly Roll, praising his character and his brief performance at SummerSlam.
