Dave Bautista recently shared insights about his infamous 2005 Royal Rumble win. The match ended controversially when Bautista and John Cena accidentally fell out of the ring simultaneously, leading to confusion about the winner. Vince McMahon ultimately restarted the match, with Bautista emerging victorious.

Bautista revealed that McMahon was already upset with him before the event because he arrived late. He had stayed in San Francisco to visit his mother instead of traveling directly to the venue in Bakersfield. This tardiness, coupled with the botched ending, made Bautista fear for his job. He took full responsibility for the mishap but considered it miraculous that he and Cena landed at the same time, allowing for the match restart.

Throughout his career, Bautista often felt his position was precarious, particularly during his time in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Despite these concerns, he expressed gratitude for being part of professional wrestling and WWE, viewing his involvement in the industry as a privilege.
