Chris Jericho Embraces “Learning Tree” Character, Trademarks Catchphrase, and Returns to CMLL After 29 Years
Chris Jericho, a prominent figure in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has fully embraced his new “Learning Tree” character and stable, which he started after winning the FTW Championship in April. This persona plays into fans’ perceptions of Jericho as someone who clings to the spotlight and associates with younger talent. Recently, Jericho filed a trademark for his new catchphrase “Hi guys!” which he uses to greet fans during promos. The trademark is primarily for merchandising purposes and is currently under review.
Jericho has faced some setbacks lately, losing the FTW Title to HOOK and encountering issues with Orange Cassidy. However, he’s looking to bounce back this weekend at CMLL’s 91st Aniversario event in Mexico, where he’ll face Mistico in the main event. This marks Jericho’s return to CMLL after 29 years, having previously performed there under the name Corazon de Leon.
