Batista Unaware of Vince McMahon’s Injury During Chaotic 2005 Royal Rumble Finish

The 2005 Royal Rumble match ended in an unexpected way when Batista and John Cena accidentally fell over the top rope simultaneously. This unplanned incident led to a memorable moment when Vince McMahon rushed to the ring to resolve the situation. However, McMahon tore both his quadriceps muscles while entering the ring, forcing him to sit awkwardly on the canvas as officials tried to determine the winner.

In a recent interview, Dave Bautista, now a successful Hollywood actor, revealed that he was unaware of McMahon’s injury during the match. He was focused on the competition and only learned about the incident later. Despite the confusion, Batista was ultimately declared the winner and went on to defeat Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. Batista participated in another Royal Rumble in 2014, which was poorly received by fans who favored Daniel Bryan. John Cena, meanwhile, won his first Royal Rumble in 2008 and secured a second victory in 2014.
