AEW’s Casino Gauntlet Match Could Expand to Women’s Division, Says Tony Khan

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) introduced a new match format called the Casino Gauntlet earlier this year. In this type of match, wrestlers enter at timed intervals, with the winner determined by pinfall or submission. So far, AEW has held three Casino Gauntlet matches, with Will Ospreay winning the first two and Christian Cage winning the most recent one at AEW All In.

AEW President Tony Khan recently discussed the possibility of bringing this match format to the women’s division. While he couldn’t confirm its inclusion in this year’s All Out event, Khan expressed interest in introducing a women’s Casino Gauntlet in the future. He noted that the concept has been well-received and has taken place in different cities, including Jacksonville, Los Angeles, and London’s Wembley Stadium.

Although there won’t be a Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All Out, the event will feature two women’s matches. Mercedes Mone will defend the TBS Championship against Hikaru Shida, and Kris Statlander will face Willow Nightingale in a Chicago Street Fight.
