As AEW nears its fifth anniversary, the company is on the verge of securing a new TV deal that could solidify its future. While no official announcement has been made, Tony Khan, AEW’s president, has hinted at exciting developments. Recent reports suggest that AEW is close to finalizing a deal with Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) that could last three to four years and be worth around $170 million annually.

The potential agreement with WBD would likely see AEW programming aired twice a week on either TNT, TBS, or TruTV. Additionally, AEW has filed a trademark for “AEW Shockwave,” suggesting a new TV show might be in development. Although AEW had previously explored negotiations with FOX, it appears the focus is now on finalizing the deal with WBD. An official announcement could come as soon as September 25 during “AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam” or on October 2, marking the show’s five-year anniversary.
