AEW All In’s Six-Hour Duration Raises Concerns About Match Placement and Audience Fatigue
AEW All In, a recent wrestling event, ran for approximately six hours including the pre-show, raising concerns about audience fatigue. Bully Ray, speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” highlighted how this lengthy duration affected the reception of certain matches.
According to Bully Ray, the match between Ospreay and MJF received an incredibly enthusiastic response from the 50,000-strong crowd, with fans standing and cheering throughout. However, this high-energy performance may have inadvertently impacted the subsequent match between Britt Baker and Mercedes Mone. Bully Ray suggested that after three hours of wrestling and such an intense match, the audience needed time to recover.
Bully Ray argued that the placement of the Baker-Mone match immediately after the Ospreay-MJF bout was a mistake. He estimated that about 50% of the issues with the Baker-Mone match stemmed from this scheduling decision, as the crowd had already expended much of their energy. He emphasized that the Baker-Mone match was too important to be positioned in a spot where the audience might struggle to maintain their enthusiasm.
