Former WWE Writer Praises Solo Sikoa’s Rise Despite Loss to Cody Rhodes in Steel Cage Match
In the recent season premiere of WWE Smackdown, Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match. Despite this being Sikoa’s second consecutive loss to Rhodes, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. praised Sikoa’s performance, highlighting him as an underrated star on the Smackdown roster.
Prinze Jr. commended Sikoa’s rapid rise, noting his evolution from a silent character to one delivering impactful monologues and impressive in-ring performances. He particularly praised Sikoa’s wrestling abilities, his signature Samoan Spike move, and his upcoming storyline involving a potential clash with Roman Reigns for the “Tribal Chief” title.
Looking ahead, Sikoa is set to team up with Jacob Fatu in a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at the upcoming Bad Blood event. This match will mark Reigns’ return to the ring since his loss to Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Prinze Jr. also expressed enthusiasm for a potential future one-on-one match between Reigns and Fatu, following their brief interaction after the Sikoa-Rhodes match.
