Will Ospreay Faces Multiple Challenges as AEW International Champion, Set to Defend Title Against Ricochet
Will Ospreay, the current AEW International Champion, is facing multiple challenges in the coming weeks. He’s set to team up with Kyle Fletcher to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. At the same time, Ospreay is preparing to defend his title against Ricochet at the five-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite on October 2.
In a recent interview, Ospreay confidently addressed Ricochet’s return to the wrestling scene after a six-year absence. He emphasized how much he has grown and changed in that time, claiming to have “changed the game” and asserting that he has nothing to prove. Ospreay challenged Ricochet to bring his best to their upcoming match, boldly stating that no one is on his level.
Meanwhile, Ricochet has been making waves since his AEW debut at All In on August 25. He’s undefeated in AEW with a 3-0 record, having beaten notable opponents like Kyle Fletcher and Sammy Guevara. Ricochet’s return to the spotlight has also sparked discussions about a potential return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he and Ospreay first faced off in 2016. Additionally, Ricochet is scheduled to make his Japanese return in the GLEAT promotion.
