Joe Hendry files trademarks amid rising WWE NXT popularity, TNA-WWE collaboration brings fresh talent to NXT
TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry has recently filed trademarks for his ring name and catchphrases, including “I Believe In Joe Hendry” and “Say his name, and he appears.” This move comes as Hendry has been gaining popularity on WWE NXT, following a cooperation agreement between WWE and TNA. Hendry’s performances have impressed WWE officials, leading to high-profile matches including a main event title challenge against NXT Champion Ethan Page at the NXT No Mercy event.
The trademark filings are not due to any contract issues between Hendry and TNA, but rather a move to secure his popular catchphrases as they become more prominent in WWE programming. The collaboration between WWE and TNA has also brought other TNA talents into the NXT spotlight. This includes former TNA Tag Team Champions The Rascalz, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace (who has even defended her TNA title on WWE shows), and former Knockouts Champion Rosemary. These appearances have added fresh dynamics to NXT storylines and matches, showcasing the talent from both promotions.
