A Netflix documentary about former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has reportedly taken an unexpected turn. Initially planned as a career retrospective, the project has evolved into an exposé on McMahon’s alleged misconduct. Jonathan Coachman, a former WWE broadcaster, revealed that McMahon participated in hundreds of hours of interviews before the focus shifted due to recent allegations against him.

Coachman, who claims to have been close to McMahon during his time at WWE, expressed that the documentary has become a “hit piece” filled with negative content. He suggested that while McMahon may deserve the criticism, the situation has had severe personal consequences. According to Coachman, McMahon’s children no longer speak to him, and his grandchildren were removed from school due to the allegations.

The former broadcaster also shared his own experiences with McMahon, recounting how he assisted in securing a deal with Fox for WWE while working at ESPN. Coachman expressed disappointment in McMahon’s subsequent treatment of him, stating that despite his loyalty, McMahon became distant when circumstances changed. Ultimately, Coachman concluded that McMahon is responsible for the negative portrayal in the documentary, saying, “He did this to himself.”
