The long-standing feud between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is set to culminate in a Hell in a Cell match at the upcoming Bad Blood event. This follows their previous encounters at SummerSlam and Bash in Berlin. On a recent episode of WWE Raw, Punk made a bold statement, vowing to make McIntyre bleed and do whatever necessary to secure victory. He even went as far as to say he would retire if this match ends his career.

Bully Ray, speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” shared his thoughts on the upcoming match. He emphasized that given the event’s name and Punk’s promise of bloodshed, the wrestlers need to meet these expectations. However, Bully Ray cautioned against an overuse of weapons in the match. He expressed a preference for the fight to focus on the two competitors and their fists, with the cell itself serving as the primary gimmick. While he could tolerate minimal use of props like a table or a callback to their previous strap match, he strongly opposed the idea of numerous weapons being introduced.

Bully Ray concluded by stating that the intense rivalry between McIntyre and Punk should be enough to carry the match without relying heavily on external gimmicks. He advocated for a focus on hand-to-hand combat, believing this would best showcase the animosity between the two wrestlers.
