Former ROH owner advises AEW on McGuinness-Danielson feud, suggests showcasing their rich history
Cary Silkin, former owner of Ring of Honor (ROH), has shared insights about the upcoming feud between Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson in AEW. Silkin highlighted the extensive history between the two wrestlers, noting that they had faced each other 24 times during their ROH careers. He emphasized that despite the presence of many other talented wrestlers, McGuinness and Danielson were considered the pinnacle of ROH’s roster.
Silkin believes that AEW needs to educate viewers about the rich history between McGuinness and Danielson to fully capitalize on their rivalry. He revealed that McGuinness has been training for an in-ring return, despite previous career-ending injuries, with the possibility of a feud against the AEW World Champion. Silkin suggested that AEW should utilize the ROH video library to showcase McGuinness’ past matches against notable opponents like Homicide, CM Punk, and Lance Storm, to help build excitement for this new chapter in their storied rivalry.
