AEW is close to finalizing a new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). According to a report by “Puck,” the agreement is expected to be a four-year deal, with three mandatory years and an optional one-year extension. The deal is rumored to be worth around $170 million per year, with AEW matches set to air twice weekly on TNT, TBS, and TruTV. A formal announcement could be made as early as next week.

In addition to the WBD deal, AEW is reportedly in talks with other broadcast channels, including Fox, for a separate media rights package. This new venture, potentially called “AEW Shockwave,” was recently trademarked by the company. However, there is no set timeline for when AEW will pursue this additional deal. During a recent press conference, AEW’s Tony Khan expressed confidence in the company’s long-term relationship with WBD, while also hinting at the upcoming “Shockwave” project.
