Nigel McGuinness Challenges Bryan Danielson for AEW World Title, Launches Social Media Campaign
Nigel McGuinness has issued a challenge to AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson for a match at the upcoming AEW Grand Slam event. This comes after Darby Allin’s title shot was redirected to a match against Jon Moxley. However, Danielson’s participation is uncertain as he hasn’t been seen since being attacked by Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC at the All Out event.
Undeterred by Danielson’s absence, McGuinness has launched a social media campaign to pressure the champion into accepting the match. He posted a video wearing a shirt with provocative messages like “Bryan Fears Nigel” and “#AmericanCoward.” In the clip, McGuinness calls Danielson “Brittle Bryan” and “Cryin Bryan,” starting what he calls “The Fragile Countdown” and a “daily call to action.” He’s urging fans to flood social media with messages explaining why they believe Danielson is avoiding the match, hoping this will lead to a showdown between the two former Ring of Honor rivals at Grand Slam.
